Show Throw Quilt Patterns - $20/ square foot (<25 sqft = $25/ sqft)

I have created many beautiful quilts and have not nearly exhausted the patterns available. These works of art can be created to suit any purpose - show curtains, bed covers of any size, and throw blankets to adorn the home or enjoy at the shows. Though they are larger than a typical wall-hanging, I can add tabs for hanging.

Simple Rose

Simple Rose

This quilt is composed of simple blocks but has a border with roses made from a wreath that a miniature stallion won.

Simple Stripes

These quilts are a great example of how the ribbons can be used to create a beautiful pattern without losing much of their original look.

Free Style

Free Style

Two collections of swimming ribbons left pretty much intact, yet arranged in a random lattice.

Sunrise

The same pattern as pictured above but slightly less random - a vague sunrise emerges from the lattice .

Old-Fashioned Latice

Old-Fashioned Lattice

A slightly different pattern than Free Style - creating more lattice in a tighter pattern. This one is nearly twin sized with the border added.

Lap Lanes

Lap Lanes

A collection of swimming ribbons left pretty much intact, yet arranged in a "splashy" diagonal pattern.

Four Board Fence

Not Yet Used

This pattern has yet to be utilized.

Patchy Pinto

Patchy Pinto

This pattern really compresses a large number of ribbons into a small project. Ribbons that should not be cut into 2", 4", or 6" segments are saved for the border.

These quilts are composed of simple blocks and have a more modern look than others available.

Simple Lattice

A good pattern when the longest ribbons in your collection are around ten inches.

Golden Stars

Doe Lattice

A unique pattern for a collection of ribbons of all different lengths and widths.

Golden Stars

Though all of the blocks are similar no two are exactly the same to accommodate ribbons of all lengths.

True Colors

True Colors

A simple pattern that uses 144 ribbons and is a wonderful way to put the ribbons to use without losing much length.

Simple Strips - IN PROGRESS

This young lady wanted her ribbons to be left as intact as possible - I think it will look really nice once completed with rosettes hung in the corner of each block.

Billowing Streamers

Streaming Ribbons

< This (~3'x3') wall-hanging used 200 ribbons. A magnificent trophy for any determined rider. <

> Some vintage ribbons from the late 70's beautifully illustrate how the ribbons will age to add to the value of the quilt as an heirloom. Also, a good example of how even older ribbons stand up to the quilting process. >

< A slight modification in the pattern allows longer ribbons to be used to the advantage that they don't get chopped up as severely as with other patterns. Logoed button fabric makes up key squares. <

> A collection of dog show ribbons makes an interesting watercolor of streaming ribbons. >

Cabin Patterns

< Rosette Queen with Embroidery - This quilt was created for a competitive girl to adorn her bed and features around 1000 ribbons. It is sure to be treasured for generations as will be the memory of the horses whose names are embroidered in the corners. <

> Agility Cross Hatch - A nearly queen sized quilt in honor of four agile dogs whose names are (owner supplied) embroidered on the black fabric border. Unfortunately, for the dogs, I don't think they'll get to sleep on it! >

< Rosette Queen - A beautiful queen sized quilt that used ribbons from six years of competitive showing. <

> Random Cabin - This is a very functional quilt in size and design. It reminds me of the crazy quilts from the depression era with it's random assortment of ribbons, velvet border and backing, and red binding. >

< Wall-Hanging Rosette - a collection of narrow vintage ribbons shrink the scale, certainly not the level of detail in this wall-hanging. A border made from her horse's wool cooler adds a sentimental touch and a place to hang a few rosette tops.

> Picture Perfect Cabin - The ribbons are arranged around photos of the horses who won them. A fancy paint takes credit for the cluster of black ribbons that really make this quilt stand apart. >

< Star with Rosette Queen Corners - An Ohio Star set on its corners to create space for a large collection of smaller ribbons with satin button centers. <

> Line-Up w/ Cooler Border - A navy blue wool award cooler was used in the border and backing of this quilt. >

< Best Friend's Cabin - A seemingly random assortment of ribbons with photos placed in eight of the diagonal blocks. <

>> The Line-Up - A nice pattern for hanging and a wonderful size to sit on and enjoy at the shows. >>

< Agility Star - an abstract star surrounded by blocks of mostly green. This quilt was 82" square and still didn't use up all the ribbon ssent!

>Clean Round - A lovely size and pattern for display or use at shows and other events. >

<< Positive Negative - Abstract stars. < <

< Jones' Star - A lovely size and pattern to display or to use at shows and other events. <

I have collected many patterns since I began making ribbon quilts and have MANY more ideas that I have yet to create. Please call or e-mail if you do not see a pattern here that you like, I am anxious to try some of my fresh ideas!
