1.Sooo much blue! and quite a few championship
ribbons! An IMPRESSIVE wall-hanging and perfectly functional
as a sofa throw.
These others are a slight twist on the usual
pattern.

Not as intricate as it requires
a ration of about 5:4 long and regular length ribbons.

Maryland Star
Plenty of interchanging colors, two
complex borders, a vast collection of antique ribbons, and bold use
of red make this quilt a dramatic work of art. If you have ~1,000
ribbons to preserve borders similar to this can be added to any star
wall-hanging to make it full-queen sized.
Alternating blades of blue, red,
and yellow set this star apart.

Stars
The four types
of blades for these two wall-hangings were made simultaneously
and then finished differently for two sisters who hadn't kept
track of who earned which ribbons. The slightly smaller
star was finished with two borders, the first of which is comprised
of the button centers the second is a wrap-around diagonal stripe,
which actually make this quilt a little larger than the the first.

unusual mixture of long and short ribbons.
Six panels
rather than eight to showcase a unique and impressive collection
of long-only ribbons.

Star
1. Inspired by the large number of white-center-streamer
ribbons & wanting those harder to win to stand out from the
white, I used the Kaleidoscope pattern to pair the white centers
with their original side streamers.
2. A season award from the Highest Horse Schooling
Shows.
